At 20 Barbican Road, Chive Eatery provides a unique twist to serving food.
With spacious seating, the venue is ideal for intimate dining and group get-togethers.
Diners can choose between modern-styled decor indoors or a relaxed tropical vibe outdoors.
While catering to most income brackets, the sophisticated menu is definitely high-end.
The service was impeccable, and our pleasant server took the time to accommodate our questions about the menu.
After perusing the detailed menu, we chose the following items:
Creamy and cheesy with subtle flavors, this dish resembles a liquified version of mash potato.
Infused with chicken roulade and pimento cheese, they cooked the chicken to perfection, but the minimal seasoning was disappointing.
Using callaloo and roast plantain stuffing, however, helped to enhance the dish.
Creamy Chive Cabonara
The dish included grilled herb chicken, spaghetti, bacon bits and rich sauce.
Although the hint of bacon presented a nice, smoky flavor, the pasta was a little under-cooked.
The chicken almost non-existent.
We also tried Pork Buns, which comprises crispy glazed pork, belly stuffed in steamed bao buns with hoisin sauce, ginger and pickled cucumbers. The medley of flavors created a party in our mouths.
Overall, our experience was a good one, and we will most likely return.
